Coin "Our Lady of Merichel" 2 euro Andorra

   A commemorative coin with a face value of 2 euro of Andorra in 2021, "Our Lady of Merichel" is dedicated to the holy patroness of the Principality of Andorra. The coin was issued in a total circulation of 73,750 units, of which 3,750 coins were minted as Proof.

   On the obverse of the commemorative coin of 2 euro is a carved statue of Our Lady of Merichel against the background of the Church of the Blessed Virgin of Merichel, located in the parroquia of Canillo. Also in the background is an ancient basilica, which was destroyed by fire in 1972. At the bottom of the coin are the years "1921" and "2021" as well as the name of the country "ANDORRA." 12 stars of the European Union are applied to the outer ring.
