On February 18, 2004 , the Austrian Mint issued a second niobium coin with a face value of 25 euro, which is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Zemmering Railway, which is the world's first mountain railway.
The obverse of the coin depicts modern and old locomotives. Under the image is the year of coinage "2004" and on the outer ring is the name of the country "REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH" and the face value of the coin "25 EURO."
The reverse of the coin depicts a section of the railway with a viaduct along which the train moves. The inscription "150 JAHRE SEMMERINGBAN" ("150 YEARS OF THE ZEMMERING RAILWAY") is inscribed on the outer ring.
