Austria's collection coin from niobium with a face value of 25 euro was issued on January 21, 2015 and is dedicated to cosmology - a science that studies the properties and evolution of the Universe. The coin was minted in the Austrian mint with a circulation of 65,000 units.
The obverse of the 25 Euro coin depicts outer space with the planet Saturn and the Rosetta space probe. In the lower part of the niobium circle is the inscription "KOSMOLOGIE" ("COSMOLOGY"). Along the edge of the silver ring in a semicircle is the name of the state "REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH" as well as the denomination of the coin "25 EURO." Below is the year of minting "2015."
On the reverse of the coin is a stylized image of the planets and their orbits, as well as a large telescope being built by the European Southern Observatory in the Atacama Desert in Chile.
