   Coins of Austria 1 euro put into circulation in 2002. Issued at the Mint of Austria (Vienna). Designed by Josef Kaiser.

   The obverse of the 1 euro coin depicts a portrait of the famous Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. On the right side of the coin is the denomination "1 EURO" and under it there are three stripes (rough-smooth-rough) symbolizing the Austrian flag. On the left is the year the coin was issued.
