50 Euro cents, Austria

   Coins of Belgium 50 Euro cents of the first series were issued from 1999 to 2007 at the Royal Mint of Belgium in Brussels. The designer is Jan Alfons Keustermans.

   The obverse of the 50 Euro cent coin depicts the King of Belgium Albert II of Belgium. On the outer ring of the coin are 12 stars of the European Union. On the right is the monogram of the king (the crowned letter "A" and the Roman number "II"), as well as the year the coin was minted.
