Coin "150 years since the birth of Axeli Gallen-Kallela" 2 euro Finland

   The anniversary coin 2 euro of Finland is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Finnish artist Akseli Gallen-Kallel. It was released in October 2015 with a circulation of 500,000 coins. Minting was carried out at the mint of Finland.

   On the obverse of the commemorative coin of 2 euro is a fragment of the artist's painting "Mother of Lemminkäinen" depicting a floating swan and the soul of the deceased Lemminkäinen in the form of pounding lines. At the bottom of the coin in a semicircle is the name of the artist "AKSELI GALLEN KALLELA" divided by a palette on which the year of birth of the painter "1865" and the year of issue of the coin "2015" are engraved. Nearby is the sign of the Mint of Finland. On the outer ring - 12 stars of the European Union.
