50 Euro cents, Finland (1999)

   Coins of Finland with a face value of 50 euro cents of the first series were issued from 1999 to 2006 at the Mint of Finland in the city of Vantaa. Designed by Heikki Haivaoja.

   On the obverse of the 50 Euro cent coin is the coat of arms of the country - a crowned lion with a silver sword in his hand. The year of issue of the coin is indicated on the left, and 12 stars of the European Union are located in the outer circle.
