The commemorative coin of 2 euro of France is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. It was released in January 2018 with a circulation of 15 million coins. Minting was carried out at the Mint of France in Paris.
The obverse of the commemorative coin 2 euro depicts Vasilyok of France - a symbol of memory of the victims of the First World War, and subsequently all military and civil armed conflicts in France. Around the image is the inscription "Le Bleuet de France, fleur de mémoire et de solidarité" ("Basilec of France, flower of memory and solidarity"). The lower part of the coin indicates the years "1918-2018" and the signs of the French mint and the head of its engraving workshop. There is also a country designation nearby - the separated letters "R" and "F" meaning the French Republic. On the outer ring are 12 stars of the European Union.
